Well people, what does one say now? Well i would like to congratulate myself on one year of updating this blog, and a now successful, 3 and a half years of an interest in Photography. I would like to thank so many of you for supporting me, i know i have been rather frustrating at times with my constant uploading og the same stuff. So here we are again, back to BOP as i like to call it. Well it's not back to Bop, this is a new style, i am really interesting in adopting in my portraiture. I hope you like this, it's practically clean and unedited, well that might be kind of a lie, because at the end of the day i have done some (three or four hours) work to this one. I though, as you will notice have been minimal, am using lightroom now for my organising and editing in portraiture, it's not too hot for other stuff, i.e. Landscapes.

Ann and Perry - my biggest supporters, thankyou both for encouraging me as i have begun my journey into the twisted and extremely technically complicated (may be cos i'm just an idiot) world of photography. The past year has been full of experimenting for me, and i am now beginnning to have an understanding of things like aperture, ISO, Exposure comp, this is through spending rigorous hours in camera shops on DSLR's taking pictures of DSLR's (:

I have been confirmed my place on the Photography course at college, so will be off to there in September, however i have eight weeks of fantastic exams now. This will be my last post for a while but as it is a year, at some point within the next week, i will post everyday, they may not be the most fantastic photography, but they will give you an insight to the life i lead. I want to thank you all for following me here at BOP.

Well hi, everyone. I really do apologise for not being on for the last two weeks, hectic time, again, as will the next couple of weeks with the start of my GCSE's. For all my great american friends, my key skills exams and future-dependant grades :) But i am working hard to post. Hopefully, i will have my DSLR by july :) and it's final the Sony will be my path. I would like to thank all of you ever so much for supporting me over the past how ever long? Actually, it's getting near a year, all thanks to Ann this blog started :) Well i'll do my one year speach when we get there eh? This one is another experimental shoot, tried not to over edit this one, but the flash on the skin drove me mad. Looks a bit ghostly now, but lets see what you think. Well i will keep posting as often as i can, have a couple of images which i might send your way soon, but there not the best in detail, they were taken on my 'new' phone "camera" and by god is it evil. You have to hold it for thirty seconds once you press take otherwise the image blurs. Grr. But i fight on with the phrase, it's not the camera, it's the photographer behind it. But to all who believe that: I'm deeply sorry there's a limit. Well as Ann puts it, when i get my DSLR: 'I'll be flying.' Well for now my chums of the photography clan, enhoy and have a good easter. Lots nof chocolate tomorrow, if my blood type hasn't turned to chocolate and my skin isn't as chunky as marshmallows, i'll post again :)

So I'm back with my first post in a while, and here it is, sorry the qualities a bit naff, but my camera battery died, and i had to use phone camera (mums - "borrowed" her phone.)

When i get my DSLR i'm gonna re-visit this and hopefully get some better shots.

I fixed the bloody camera! Just hit it alot in a stress and it fixed, i've noticed i get a bit of a black line son the bottom of pics now but i've just cropped it out, will start posting again tomorrow. Am gonna pop out and some point today and grab some pics, i have the perfect idea in mind! And i worked out how to fix the shaking thing with the camera i'm just put a huge lump of bluetac on the bottom to give it a bit of weight! I'm such a genius and long live bluetac!

...Are useless if you don't mean them, So i do mean this when i say: 'I'm sorry for the lack of posts in the last few days and upcoming months, i now have a bust camera and no phone camera so poop really, i'm gonna by a new camera asap but i might just wait tilll July for my SLR, either way i will do my best to get stuff to you but what the heck! I would also like you all to wish me luck just had my final weekend rehearsal for the production i'm in called junk. It's not too late to get tickets to tuesday night, because wednesday evening has sold out and and the wednesday afternoon has been cancelled due to well due to. :)

I'm putting this to you cos i dunnoes what you'll think of it, it's very experimental, this was done about two years ago when i had just started photography, it was with the first editing software i ever had (Microsoft Photo Editor) which is now extinct. It was done by combining four of the 8 special filters withing the program, and i call it graffiti, because its me and laura on a brick wall, please comment on this, whjatever you wanna say, just so i can know what you think.

Okay this was taken in 2007, october on my old old phone camera, unfoyrtuneately when my computer broke last year i lost all these images part from the tiny versions that were on my ipod so i've done my best with the Fractals software plugin i have in PS to improve it, however its not fab, i'm going add lighbox to this but it won't work fantastically cos there's niot much of an image, however i hope you can see the idea and beauty that i see in this picture, even if it is slightly pixelated.

Since making my photography known, the biggest criticism i have recieved is that i edit my pictures too much and i tend to agree with this in many cases, so for those people who hate my edits etc, here is a pciture just for you, it's experimental so don't expect it to be fantastic. This was taken on sunny's Canon EOS 400D (Not my little point and shoot) but i did take it :) And for anyone who asks yes she was moving, a better camera than mine means a shutter speed that isn't every four hours! :P

About Time that i said something. Uhm, i finally picked a name for my photography, which some of my pictures have been marked with. I may over time do all of them. Incase you hadn't noticed it's BOP Photography. Well obviously i haven't posted to my blog since May so i thought i would have a little uploading session. Basicaly i havent, as horrible as it is had much time for photography recently, my life has just been really hectic. But, now, i plan to get back on track and give you some photo's. With all these photos of all these beautiful girls, its about time i dropped in another of me. I seem to have a thing for the colour replacement tool in Photoshop CS3 atm, and eyes fit best for that. I played no part in this picture apart from taking it. Laura acted perfectly and outstandingly infront of the character giving this picture a soul. This really does capture the Happy-Go-Lucky attitude of a teenage girl.

What i love about this picture is that she looks so innocent and so young and vibrant, something which i haven't really done with Laura before, we've only had her dark and mysterious shoot. This shows a new side to Laura as a model in my phototgraphy.

I don't honestly know what to say about this picture, it is so very different while being so very simple.

Bit different to what i usually do but to be honest i really like this one. I basically removed the brick wall and stuff from the background by putting the contrast over the brightness, painted the area around Lauren white and then used magic wand to remove the the white. I just then placed The two circles that are actually just outside the edges of the picture but are in feathered to give a great and unusual effect.

This image was rather difficult to edit at first, i didnt have a clue where to go with it. I started by reducing the saturation. I then proceeded to use a screen from microsoft photo editor to give the image a Chalk & Charcoal effect.

This image is based on a teenage mood swing. The picture was taken in a dark room to give it its colouring. I placed it in microsoft photo-editor and used the graphic pen tool to give it it's current effect.

This image is kind of supposed to be witch like. Laura has cat in her arms and is taken behind a sunflower canvas which i funily enough found in homebase. I just took out alot of the brightness and contrast from the picture and used a basic shading effect from MS photo editor.

This is probably my favourite from this collection. Laura is based again behind the sunflower potrait and generally looks relaxed to represent not caring anymore, i think the picture itself gives an auror of sadness and loathing, are you feeling it?

This picture was reltively simple to create. Generally used a stamp screen to produce the effect then smudged the eyeline to produce the effect that she was crying.

Hi there, my names Troy and im what could be known as a "budding" photographer, i love taking pictures, its something i really enjoy and i guess you could call this my gallery. I will try to update it as often as possible so that you can get a real idea of where i'm coming from. I like photographing people, i just love the expressions you can gety from the face and the emotion that be communicated therough one or several photographs. I like to photograph people that look unhappy or distressed in pictures, call me crazy but i just think it stands out and sais more than a photograph that looks, well... happy. I only really take pictures for my friends and family at the moment, i dont want to do pictures of other people incase i get their hopes up and let them down. I hope that i dont let you down with the photo's i've already taken, Enjoy. By the way, Thats me =)^^^
